Sir Edmund Percival Hillary (July 20, 1919 – January 11, 2008)

How much temerity, to fling your raft in a wild, untamed, unconquered Ganges, and come out naming those rapids to your taste; To say of the Everest - "we finally knocked the bastard off". There are men, and then there are men. Thanks for everything.

Rest in peace...

atleast now, please.

A mountaneer by instinct and a beekeeper for generations....they don't make men like him anymore.

Seriously, his fighting spirit, until his last days is truly remarkable.

Like you `ve said, may his soul rest in peace and let the legend live one, so that generations to come get inspired.!
